Completion Time will be between 2-3 hours. My quick playthrough took 1 hr and 50 minutes, but I have everything memorized so I would expect 2 and a half hours for most following along for the 1st time.

A Lonely Look Gameplay Preview

The ‘A Lonely Look’ series will primarily be a ‘First Time Playing’ series, where I show off the first 30 minutes of a game and allow you to see what exactly is happening.

For Calico, I have already played the game many times, so the Gameplay Preview will be the first 30 minutes of the game, explaining the beginning, etc. This will be a separate video from my Achievement Walkthrough.

Calico Achievement List

The Achievement List for Calico is fairly straightforward, as you wouldn’t have any issues playing normally and getting everything in 8 hours or so. The Lonely Achievement God Achievement Lists contain GamerScore amounts, descriptions for each individual Achievement (if the Game is fully covered by me) and time estimates, not only for the game as a whole, but each individual achievement!

Calico Game Review

Reviews, in my opinion, are not meant to be used to compare one game to another games. Reviews should be used to find out if a game is the best it could have been in the world it’s developer created. The first part of the Review of Calico is listed below. If you want to read more, you can do so HERE.

“Not all games are going to blow you away with technical prowess and captivating stories. Often, I find myself yearning for the days of Stardew Valley, a game I put hundreds of hours into. While variety is wonderful and I look to experience as many games as possible, there is something to be said for the familiarity of a game you know you will spend a lot of time with. Knowing what activities and tasks you have ahead of you the next time you play can be comforting, and the Simulation genre is built on that idea. As someone who started in the 90s with Harvest Moon yet still craves that feeling, I noticed some friends playing Calico last December and wanted to learn more about it. What I found was a Simulation and Management game that sells itself as the journey of rebuilding and running the abandoned family Cat Cafe on the Island. Meet the Villagers, bring some Animals into your Cafe, and help bring the Cafe back to its former glory!

So is Calico purr-fect or does it leave you feeling low after the Catnip wears off?”

Other Useful Calico Stuff

There isn’t very much Miscellaneous information that is useful for the Achievement Walkthroughs. The game, and what it expects, is fairly straightforward. As I mentioned above, a Normal playthrough without a Walkthrough is easily possible in about 8. hours. What I’ve done here is streamline EVERYTHING that can be done quickly and figured out how to manipulate the RNG to help you get the random Recipes a little easier. Below is a video detailing exactly how you will do that, and is the only miscellaneous information.(This still works after all the updates!)
